Note : For Experience Modifier codes, change ???? to FFFF for Quick Level Gain.

Note 2 : Do not keep the codes active all the time, as it causes glitches, enable them only when you need them to avoid the glitches.

Note 3 : For the Character Modifier - 3rd Position to work, you have to have the third slot in your menu empty (only have two characters). Turn the code off once you have the character you want. Note that the Vincent Valentine code (7) won't always work. Also, codes B, C, and D will give you character portraits, but these aren't real (playable) characters. The game will crash if you use any character you're not supposed to have (Aerith, Young Cloud or Sephiroth) and you enter a conversation or the like.

Note 4 : Similar to the Character Modifier - 3rd Position Code, but you don't need an empty 3rd space. Just go to the PHS menu and press O twice when you're over your third ally. Keep in mind that Aerith is in your party permanently and that the game will crash if you have a conversation/group gathering with Aerith in your party after Disc 1. This code is far less buggy than the 'Character Select', but you should still turn the code off once Aerith in in your party or the game will crash.

Note 5 : With the Body Heat Always... Code, the number may fluctuate a bit (it sometimes stops at 91), but your heat will still be unaffected.

Note 6 : When riding a normal Chocobo, activate the Start With Gold Chocobo Code and it will gain all the abilities of a gold chocobo (go over mountains, oceans, etc.) You can't do this with wild chocobos that you catch: you have to catch a chocobo, send it to the Chocobo Farm, name it and ride it out of the farm, then activate the code. This effectively prevents you from using this code until about halfway through Disc 2 when the option of chocobo breeding is a vailable to you. Secondly, you can't leave the World Map while the code is on, so you'll have to turn off the code before entering any area. When you come back out, the chocobo will have 'reverted' to normal, so you'll have to get back on and flip the switch up again to re-activate the code.

Note 7 : With the Item Select Code, XX Determines Location of Item in the Item Menu-MUST BE AN EVEN CHARACTER for the last 'X', like 0,2,4,6,8,A,C,E. And for the first 'X', use 8-C

Note 8 : Items 060 - 07F may cause strange effects in the game (like being able to exit out of battles by pressing L1+R1+Select).

Note 9 : Like Item Select, In the Materia Select Code, the last 'X' MUST BE EVEN. And the first 'X' Muse be between 8-C. Also, if the location would put a materia over a space that already has a materia there, the game will crash, so clear out some space first. You can enter this code multiple times and change the location number in order to have lots of Materia.

Note 10 : Materia no. 11, 16, 26, 3F, 42, and 43 are 'disabled' materia. Some of them (Underwater Breath and Booster) have no effect in the game.
