I) What this guide is about-
This guide is about competitive strategies that are used by gamefaqs board
members, Miiverse members and some of the top players in the 007 Legends
community. If you use these strategies at the appropriate moments you should
be able to increase your kill count and perform better against the better
players.

II) How to use this guide-
Each section is labeled near the top of the document. You can use Control+F to
jump to what you are looking for in the guide. If you see an abbreviation and
you are unsure what it stands for just search for it using Control+F and you
should be able to find its meaning somewhere in here.

IV) Intel (Hero, Weapon, Gadget Stats, Glitches, and Exploits)-

Note- Every hero has increased health and infinite ammo.

Heroes-
James Bond:
Bond has the Bennetti ARV+Compensator+Red Dot Sight, a proximity mine and a
watch. Bond is a hero on all the stages.

Sanchez:
Sanchez has the Militek and a whole lot of health. Don't worry about taking
cover, just make sure to get the first kill. This does not mean that you
should carelessly travel the map and not utilize cover as you go, but it does
mean that if you are in a fire fight that you should focus on getting the
first kill rather than trying to survive. Getting the first kill will in
itself maintain your survival. Sanchez is available on Ceremonial Plaza and
the Refinery stages.

Goldfinger:
Goldfinger has the PT-9 in the Smelting Room and the Gold Plated Revolver
for the Loading Bay stage. Try to go to areas where you can be close to
your opponents when you are using the PT-9. The are near the vent is a good
place to hang around. Also, the team spawns. Goldfinger is a big target so
don't rely on speed and out running your opponents. Just power through the
attacks and take out the opponents before they take you out.

Oddjob:
Oddjob has the Danyo. Don't expect much on Main Vault when using Oddjob as
his Danyo does not compare to Bond's Bennetti. Hope to get the team that has
Bond when the map is Main Vault. When using Oddjob, rely on your teammates
to provide a distraction while you try to get kills.

Gustav Graves:
Graves has a lightning melee. Use it to electrify players. He also has the
STK-21 Commando. Graves is good at both long range and short range. Go as
you please, but keep a tactical mind about you and you will do well. Though,
you shouldn't have to move around too much since all the other players will
be coming to you as it is. Graves is only available on Biodome.

Zao:
Zao is available on the Ice Hotel, has the Strata and packs a punch. He also
blends well with the color and atmosphere of the Ice Hotel. This will help
a little, but you do have the floating crown above your head that everyone
can see so don't rely on camouflage alone to survive. Stick to cover and aim
well with the Strata to do well.

Gadget Stats and Strategies-
Solitaire's Guidance: this gadget allows you to see
the person that you last killed on your radar until
you kill a different person; this gives you the ability
to come in behind your opponent for sneak attacks. It
also allows you to find the enemy team often and easily.
How to counter Solitaire's Guidance: If your opponent is
using Solitaire's Guidance and you know it, then you
can have an easy time predicting what they will do.
They will likely keep coming to you over and over as
long as you were last killed by them. If not then you
can stick close to your teammates to always find them.
A common tactic for someone using Solitaire's Guidance is
to come up to you from behind so check behind you often.
You can camp too depending on the situation and if you
were recently killed.

Snap Shot:
Use this gadget to improve your hip firing accuracy
significantly. Melee attacks are faster than normal.

Short fuse:
This gadget allows you to throw grenades without having
to worry about cooking them first. It can be useful to use,
but if you use it too much your opponents may catch on and
they may figure out how to avoid your grenades.

Polarized Contacts:
These lenses will protect you from the flash of flash
grenades. This gadget isn't the most useful because if you
do get blinded focus on firing where you last saw your
opponent and in the direction that he or she was moving.
If you didn't see anyone nearby before being flashed,
then move to an area that has cover until the effect wears
off.

Smoke Screen:
Poolguy68 has a good strategy for this and is the first
player I have seen use this strategy. Throw out some smoke
into an area, either a hallway or somewhat narrow area so
you can hide behind the smoke. Use a weapon with the thermal
scope attachment so you can pick off opponents through the
smoke. Be aware that the players on the other side of the
smoke will be able to see your bursts of fire and can use
this knowledge to fire back at you. To counter the strategy
use either a weapon with a thermal scope attachment or avoid
the side of the smoke where it is obvious that your opponent
is not at.

Speed Loader:
Allows you to reload faster. This is useful for guns like the
Camara and MJR that have long reload times. You can also bring
out the grenade launcher at a quicker pace than normal.

Mine Sweeper:
If opponents are dropping proxies, then this is useful to
prevent yourself from running into their planted proxies.

Fast Forward:
This gadget lets you move at a faster pace than normal. This
gadget is useful for players who rush a lot and are very
aggressive. Moving around a lot helps to avoid the fire from
opponents. The added speed lets you move to cover quicker when
you really need it too.

Shadowing:
Silences your footsteps and prevents fall damage. If you are
someone who vaults off ledges and drops from tall heights often,
then this may be useful to you.

Camouflage:
Solitaire's Guideance won't be able to find you and thermal
scopes will not be able to see you when you have this gadget
equiped. This gadget blocks the aim assist, red reticle and
name from showing when an opponent aims at you.

Last Act of Defiance:
When you die you will drop a live grenade as well as auto
detonate all your mines that are on the field. This works
well against most players, but skilled players will be able to
avoid your mines and grenades so this is something to consider
if you are in a competitive match with all skilled players.

Reactive Armor:
This gadget reduces the flinch you feel from being shot. It
will help you survive the explosions from grenades and mines.

Dead Aim:
Allows you to move faster while ADSing. If you are someone who
aims down sights often, then this may be useful to you.

Fully Stocked:
Allows two attachments to be attached to a primary or secondary
weapon.

Cardio Conditioning:
Sprint until you don't want to. Your sprint time will not wear
out with this gadget equiped. Vaulting and climbing movements
are also quicker than normal. In general, you should avoid
climbing ladders, but if you do, this gadget will get you to the
top faster.

Multitask:
Allows you to carry multiple primary weapons. This is a good
gadget for players who like to use snipers and also have the
option of a backup SMG, AR or shotgun.

Mag Frenzy:
Starting ammo for your weapons is increased and greater than
normal.

Carbon-14 Ammo:
This will put your opponents on your radar after you shoot them.
This is useful for finding opponents who like to run away often.

Glitches-

Refinery 1 Floor Glitch:
Occassionally someone will find a way to get through the floor
and hide the entire game. I have not seen a way to do this, but
I have seen a couple players get stuck under the stage.

Grenadier (Noob tube) Disappearing Ammo:
Sometimes if you press the fire button as soon as the numbers
look like the gun has reloaded, it will shoot a blank and you
will have to reload again. To avoid this let the reload
animation complete entirely before firing.

ADS Reload Lock:
If you are ADSing and your gun runs out of ammo, the game will
auto-reload, but if this happens while you are ADSing then your
cursor will lock up and your turning and movement will also
temporarily be messed up. This will correct itself after a few
seconds and then movement and aiming will return to normal.

Level Glitch:
This glitch randomly happens when you are in game. Your level will
suddenly drop to level 1 and if you don't leave the game by the end
of the match it may become permanent. To avoid losing all your exp
and current level quit before the game ends. If you forget to quit
or you don't notice the level glitch until you see the ending
scoreboard, then press and hold the power button on your Wii U
console until the console turns off. This must be done before you
return to the lobby, otherwise you may risk losing all your exp.

Exploits-
Get to the secret area on Refinery 1:
Go to the corner with the broken ladder in one corner of the
map. You can use the railing on the opposite platform to hop
to the ledge bordering the broken ladder platform and its
opposite platform. Here is a video demonstrating this:

V) Competitive Strategies-

This section lists each stage followed by each weapon type.
The maps and weapons are listed in alphabetical order.

Biodome-

Handguns:
Use stealth as much as possible. This level is not dark so
stealth may be hard to accomplish, but don't fire a shot
unless you are sure you will hit the other target. As soon
as you hit one shot fire several more to ensure that your
opponent is taken out before he or she can take you out.
Make sure to aim for the head as well. Avoid being in the
center of fire fights. Stick to the outside edges of the map
and shoot people from behind. Avoid the high ledge that every
team seems to like having control of.

Sub-Machine Guns and Machine Pistols:
The high traffic areas are less of a problem when you are
wielding an SMG. Hip fire and aim well to do well. Stick to
the center of the map on the top of the central ledge. It is
a good place to control because it gives you a nice view of
most of the map and it is also the area that is quickest to
reach any other area of the map from. You can also use some
hit and run tactics, which might be better known as pop and
drop tactics because you pop out from cover to fire a few bullets
and then you drop off the ledge. You can take the side ramp to
quickly get back up to the top of the ledge. Dropping off the
ledge helps to prevent you from dying and also may confuse your
opponent or open him/her up to attack from one of your teammates.

Assault Rifles:
Use a similar strategy as that of the SMGs, but you can also
use the outer edges of the map to fire inward toward the action.
You get the benefit of both worlds.

Snipers:
Use a similar strategy as the handguns, but you can also camp at
the spawn points to have some cover and fire long range. The long,
narrow hallway on the top ledge is good to be at the end of because
you can pick people off from a far and they really cannot move much
to avoid your shots. Check out [RS]Catwoman45's clip at 2:20 at the
following link for an example:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_6tCEEfjAlI

Shotguns:
Use these to catch people off guard near tight corners. The ramp
leading up to the top ledge from one of the spawn points is a good
location for using a shotgun. Also, in the area with a lot of
boulders that is near the central ledge area. This area is good
because people like to utilize this area for cover and throwing
grenades up onto the upper ledge from below.

Launchers:
Although, these can perform well everywhere, these work best from
a high area shooting down below.

Ceremonial Plaza-

Handguns:
There are random objects dispersed throughout this level on the ground.
Use these objects as cover as you move around the stage. Come in from
behind in areas that people like to camp. There is a sniper position on
the side of the map opposite of the main stage that people like to camp
at. You can come in from behind people in that area fairly easy without
them knowing. Also, the side corner areas of the main stage are popular
for people to hang out at. You can come in from behind those areas using
the long hallways beneath the main stage and also on the sides of the
corner areas.

Sub-Machine Guns and Machine Pistols:
The center of the map is the best place to be when using SMGs. It allows
you to get to all areas of the map faster. It is a high traffic area so it
is easier to encounter opponents. When you hear shots fired look at the
mini map to see where it came from and then you can get to its location
fairly quickly. However, you can travel just about anywhere you like, just
avoid walking through the wide open areas of the map.

Assault Rifles:
See the description for the SMGs. The strategies are nearly the same, but
you may also be able to camp some of the sniper positions with an AR like
the STK-21 Commando.

Snipers:
Snipers are great on this map because this map is huge and has plenty of
open areas that people like to run straight through. You can camp sniper
on the main stage, in the corners surrounding the main stage and the other
main corner areas of the map. The only place that is not very good to be
is in the center area of the map because you don't have a clear view of
the open areas of the map. If you want to snipe the center stage from
afar you can stand on top of the side area structures just outside the
entrances of the center area.

Shotguns:
The only good place for shotguns is in the center area of the map due to
its location being smaller and more contained. You won't be able to hit
anything from far away so your options are mostly clearing out high spawn
points or the center away.

Launchers:
Launchers work great here as the whole map is open and there are great
distances to cover, which makes it hard for people to shoot at you from
afar. There are plenty of objects to stand on so get up high when using
the MJR. Aim slightly higher than your opponent when using the Militek
to lob it onto opponents. 360 MJR kills are possible on this stage.

Ice Hotel-

Handguns:
Avoid the big club room with three floors when using handguns. You will
be outgunned in that room. Stick to the smaller hallways and rooms. A
good place to ambush players is in the bedroom or at the bar near the
bedroom. Players travel through these rooms often and they provide you
with good hiding places.

Sub-Machine Guns and Machine Pistols:
The hallways near the initial team spawns are great for finding people.
The big room is also great for finding people. This map is small enough
and it has enough hallways connecting it that it is easy to travel across
quickly from any area. The purple hallway that curves upward and the green
plant room are the least travelled hallways in this stage. Utilize that
knowledge when trying to get to areas quicker or approach the other team
from behind.

Assault Rifles:
Like all the maps mentioned above the SMG strategy is similar to what you
should use for ARs. ARs do especially well in the big club room because
you can control the topmost area, lean over the balconies and aim at
opponents down below. Many AR users try and control the high ground of the
club room so you can know where to expect to find them.

Snipers:
Snipers are useful in the big club room. You can snipe up toward the topmost
balcony from below by standing in the doorway near the booths, but under the
balcony. The entrance that connects to the topmost balcony is a good entrance
to cover with the sniper. Go into the room with the column in its center that
leads up to the entrance and face outward from it so that you can see through
the room with the small stage area, through a hallway and into the room with
the bar. This is a high traffic area and it is easier to snipe people in this
narrow path. A good sniping location is in the room with the team spawns that
are near the green plant room. You can aim down the long hallway and this hall
is a high traffic area ripe for easy points.

Shotguns:
The shotguns are great in this stage because there are plenty of small rooms
and hallways. Avoid the big club room and hunt your opponents in the rest of
the areas of the map.

Launchers:
Launchers are good in the big club room and some of the more open small rooms
of this stage, but they can be hazardous in the narrow hallways. Use caution
in the hallways.

Loading Bay-

Handguns:
This stage is difficult for handgun users. However, there are a few good areas
to stick to. The room with the crates stacked here and there is good because
you have both cover to hide behind as well as players that have heads at the
aiming straight ahead level. Avoid the long hallways as you will likely not
survive any enemy encounters there.

Sub-Machine Guns and Machine Pistols:
You are free to roam where ever you would like and can expect to do well when
using a SMG. If you want to get a lot of points though, then you should stay
near the team spawns. Those locations tend to see the most traffic and action
and this is where you will find the most opportunities for kills.

Assault Rifles:
Use the same strategy as the SMGs.

Snipers:
Stick to the high up walkways and aim out across the map to pick off
opponents. The long hallway/walkway up high on one side of the map is a great
place for camping with a sniper rifle. You can catch people off guard and
easily snipe them from afar. Put a proxy behind you to guard your back and you
will likely nab a few kills before someone can get to you.

Shotguns:
Scour the bottom floors for opponents. This will keep you close to enemies and
allow you to get more kills than if you try to use the top level walkways. The
lower levels also provide you with more opportunities for cover to reload and
heal if needed.

Launchers:
Avoid the hallways with the Launchers as to prevent suicides from accidental
Launcher misuse. Launch rockets to opponents below from the top level
walkways. Use the Militek in the smaller rooms with crates strewn about
instead of the MJR because the Militek can lob grenades over the crates where
as the MJR will shoot rockets straight into the crates.

Main Vault-

Handguns:
Avoid the stair cases wrapped around the center pillars. Use the side stairs
when you need to move up or down a level. Stay to the corners of the map so
you have the option to get to cover faster as you will need to rely heavily on
stealth to do well with a handgun.

Sub-Machine Guns and Machine Pistols:
Travel as you please around the stage. Use the top most center balcony drop
off as a get-away route when needed. Do not jump, simply sprint straight off
to land on the balcony below or the bottom floor if you are on middle balcony.

Assault Rifles:
See the SMGs an MPs section above.

Snipers:
Plant yourself near a corner of the map. The corners give you the longest view
space in most directions and this is good for a sniper. All the narrow
walkways will make kills easy to come by.

Shotguns:
Find your opponents in the stairways and corridors of the smaller connected
rooms and corridors. You need to be close to get kills so these areas are best
for you. Avoid the long narrow walkways as there is little cover and your
weapon isn't going to save you.

Launchers:
Travel around the level as you please, but it might be a good idea to avoid
the longer narrow walkways since you move slower with the launchers in hand.

Refinery 1-

"You don't get this, do you? Whoever's behind this, whoever's doing it, he
knows us. He's one of us. He comes from the same place as Bond. The place you
say doesn't exist. The shadows." - M: Skyfall

Handguns:
This level has shadowy areas. Be like Bond and use those shadows. Pop out for
a kill when necessary, then hide again. Move around in the darker portions of
the map. As always aim for the head.

Sub-Machine Guns and Machine Pistols:
Use the strategy that the handgun users use for this stage. Snipers will
easily take you out if you are out in the open and this isn't the kind of
taking you out like on a date with dinner and a movie.

Assault Rifles:
No dinner and a movie for you in this stage. See the SMGs and Handguns section
above.

Snipers:
All the balconies are common places for snipers to be. The corner areas are
good for snipers too. The first floor corners where the team spawns are
located are good for sniping. There is a well lit area in the back narrow
corner area that can be used for sniping. There are a couple areas located
under stairs in shadows that are good too.

Shotguns:
Stick to the areas on the bottom floor with the boxes dispersed all over.
These can provide some cover and keep your opponents in range of your shots.

Launchers:
Get up high and fire away. Watch out for snipers as they are your biggest
weakness at this point.

Refinery 2-

"You don't get this, do you? Whoever's behind this, whoever's doing it, he
knows us. He's one of us. He comes from the same place as Bond. The place you
say doesn't exist. The shadows." - M: Skyfall

Handguns:
This level has shadowy areas. Be like Bond and use those shadows. Pop out for
a kill when necessary, then hide again. Move around in the darker portions of
the map. As always aim for the head.

Sub-Machine Guns and Machine Pistols:
Use the strategy that the handgun users use for this stage. Snipers will
easily take you out if you are out in the open and this isn't the kind of
taking you out like on a date with dinner and a movie.

Assault Rifles:
No dinner and a movie for you in this stage. See the SMGs and Handguns section
above.

Snipers:
All the balconies are common places for snipers to be. The corner areas are
good for snipers too. The first floor corners where the team spawns are
located are good for sniping. There are a couple areas located under stairs in
shadows that are good too. The large garage area tucked under a high walkway
is a common place for snipers to chill out. Don't rush this garage if snipers
are camping it. Instead, switch to a sniper, if you don't already have it, and
fire back.

Shotguns:
Stick to the areas on the bottom floor with the boxes dispersed all over.
These can provide some cover and keep your opponents in range of your shots.

Launchers:
Get up high and fire away. Watch out for snipers as they are your biggest
weakness at this point.

Smelting Room-

Handguns:
Stick to the shadows in the lower parts of the map. The hallways in the upper
floors are also good. Avoid going up and down the stairs and avoid the vent.

Sub-Machine Guns and Machine Pistols:
Travel just about anywhere you want, but avoid walking through the large open
section of the map and avoid the vent.

Assault Rifles:
See the SMGs section above.

Snipers:
The platform that the vent leads up to is good for sniping from. The corner
catawampus to this area and underneath stairs is shaded and good for using
sniper from. The team spawns are also good locations for sniping from.

Shotguns:
Shotguns rule the inside of the vent. Shotguns are also good to use in the
hallways and small side rooms on the lower levels.

Launchers:
Use anywhere except the vent. You are likely to suicide if you use a Launcher
in the vent.

VI) Advanced Techniques-
Strafing:
Do this as much as possible. Never stop moving because it makes you a harder
target to hit.

ADSing (Aim Down Sights):
This is a useful technique when your opponents are far away. It is more useful
to do with certain guns than it is for other guns. It can also help to relieve
the kick of the gun and steady your aim. Avoid using this at close range and
instead hip-fire.

Pharming (Farming):
This is usually done on game modes like Black Box. It can be done on Golden
Gun mode as well. In Golden Gun mode you use the Golden Gun as bait and kill
any opponents that try to pick up the Golden Gun as you lie in wait for them
to come near it. Black Box mode operates in a similar way. You use the Black
Box as bait while you hide and wait for opponents to come near it.

Hip-firing (Hip-fire):
Avoid ADS at close range and instead hip-fire. Hip-firing is faster than using
ADS because you avoid the half second that it takes to raise your gun to the
center position. The first person to the headshot gets the kill!

Strategies based on Sensitivity:
In general with fps games, if your sensitivity is low, you should avoid
getting too close to opponents and avoid meleeing because your turn speed will
be low. If your sensitivity is high then you can probably get away with
rushing an opponent and going in for a melee. Although, in 007 Legends your
sensitivity may always feel high so you rely on being able to turn quickly
when needed more than other games.

Strategies based on Controller:
This really only applies to local splitscreen multiplayer, but if you are
playing in splitscreen multiplayer with a friend and you are the one on the
gamepad you can sit in a position where everyone else will not be able to
see your screen. This can help you play more stealthy if you prefer to play
that way.

Flanking:
Charging your opponents head on is fun to do, but that may end up in mutuals
and more deaths for you. So, sometimes it is better to circle around behind
your opponent and come in from the side to get the kill. This is especially
good if a teammate is already putting pressure on the opponent from their
front side. Beware of players who regularly use proxies, especially those that
use snipers. Snipers will sometimes place a proxy on their backside to prevent
people from coming in from behind them.

Tossing Explosives:
Toss grenades and RTMs at high access points on the map from time to time to
get kills. It may not always net you a kill, but sometimes it is worth it.
You can also check the radar on the mini map to see if an opponent is near by
and then toss an explosive in that area. When using RTMs it is usually best to
pop out from a wall, throw the RTM, go back behind the wall and then detonate
the RTM. RTMs are especially useful to use when you need to reload your guns.
You can drop it as you back off and detonate the RTM as you start to reload so
if your opponent decided to rush you, then they may be stopped by the RTM.
Even if the RTM didn't get a kill it is still a good strategy to protect
yourself. Losing a RTM is better than losing a life.

Hiding Explosives:
Place those proxies in a place that will disguise them like on the inside of a
corner. You can leave a RTM on the black box to prevent people from picking it
up because if they pick up the box you can detonate the RTM. This is useful
when you are trying to farm the box.

Suiciding to Prevent Losing:
If the score is close and it is looking like a hopeless situation that you
just got yourself in, then you can cook a grenade or jump off a high ledge to
suicide and prevent the opponent from winning by getting their last kill from
you. This may potentially buy you enough time to get the few more kills that
you need. I have used this strategy to win on Team Conflict when the teams
were at 39-39 in Goldeneye Wii and it is first team to 40. I suicided which
brought us down to 38, but then we got two more kills to win 40-39. This
strategy is situational and it is rare that you have to rely on it, but it
is good to know. Even though the example is from Goldeneye Wii the concept
can still apply here. Imagine the same situation in Team Conflict, but with
scores of 59-59.

Using the environment to your advantage:
This is one of the more useful things to keep in mind. If you see a crate,
fence, pole, wall, corner, etc. near you, then you should hug it or put it
in front of you and use circular movements around it to stay alive longer.
You can see me using my environment at about 3:15 in the video at the
following link. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gvtAIZms8H0

Psuedo-Camping:
I call patrolling a small area psuedo camping because you aren't really
camping, but you are sticking to a smaller portion of the map. This can be
good to keep you from traveling in wide open areas as much and risking getting
sniped. This is really good to do when most of the other team is constantly
rushing you. The reason for this is that you don't have to try to find anyone.
They will be coming to you and in the process you can concentrate more on
getting headshots or setting up the other players.

Split-Screen Local Play:
There is no reason to use the mini map for its radar. Just look at your
opponents screen to see where they are and then you can go hunt them down. If
you learn to shoot at your opponent while looking at their screen you can see
where they are shooting and basically avoid every shot they fire by knowing
exactly where not to be.

Camping:
This is usually bad to do, but if your opponent is rushing you a lot, then
this can be effective. It can sometimes be useful for sniping, although a
general rule that I use is shoot twice with sniper and then move to a new
location. People may start to pick up on your location if you stay put for
too long. If you are facing opponents who are camping sniper and never coming
to you, then it is better to pull out a sniper and camp them back. This may
frustrate them enough to get them moving around more and prevent them from
having as easy of a time getting kills on you. Be patient because these types
of matches tend to be long.

Shoot down stairs, not up:
If you are aiming down you have protection from the platform you are standing
on and it is faster to get to a headshot if you are aiming down than it is to
aim up a stairway. Some situations will allow you or require you to shoot up a
stair way, but it is usually better to take the high ground.

Headshots:
Go for headshots as much as possible. They will help turn the game in your
favor if you can get them often.

Camouflage:
Notice the colors that your character is wearing. This is especially useful on
stages with dark areas like Refinery 2. Stick to the shaded areas if you are
wearing mostly black. People sometimes have darker televisions and will walk
right past you because they couldn't see you.

Movement positioning:
This is based on your current loadout mostly, but it is generally good to take
the inside of turns if you have a shotgun because it shortens the distance
between you and your opponent. If you are using an AR or SMG then you should
probably take the outside of turns, unless you know that your opponents favor
taking the outside of turns, then in that case you should take the inside of
the turn because it will help you to be pointed at them first.

Proper Spacing:
Maintain spacing between you and your teammates. If you do this you will avoid
getting trapped in doubles, triples and quads from well placed explosives or
quick swipes of headshots from SMGs and ARs.

Angular Projection:
Grenades can be bounced off of walls so this can be useful knowledge. If an
opponent has just turned a corner you can lob a grenade off the wall to travel
around the corner. A neat trick is to toss a grenade at a wall in front of you
right before you turn the corner so that the grenade will bounce back behind
you and give you either some time to get into a better position or possibly
get a kill on the person rushing you from behind.

Gun Jacking:
If you see a gun that is stronger than your current weapon, it is a good
idea to swap it out with your current weapon. This is called gun jacking
and it is a useful technique if you do not have the stronger better
weapons unlocked. I used this technique frequently as a low level. You
can also gun jack if you are low on ammo or are getting tired of your
current weapon. Some people even swap out their secondary as soon as they can
so they can have a backup gun that is strong.

Trickshots:
Look for an opponent that is in a good position to pull off the trickshot.
Line up the shot in your head before you begin your fall and spin. By that I
mean think about where your opponent will be based on their movements. Once
your cursor is on your target click to shoot.

Sprinting:
Sprinting is both good and bad to use. There are times when it is good to
sprint and other times sprinting will slow you down and you will die. To avoid
sprinting form slowing you down, do not sprint in an area where there is a lot
of action happening. The reason for this is due to sprinting lowering your
weapon and then when you come out of the sprint you have to wait a split
second for the gun to raise back up to normal level before you can shoot it.
However, this may be enough time for your opponent to get a headshot on you.
Use sprinting effectively to get to areas where your opponents will be faster
and also use sprinting to escape areas quicker or seek cover. If you are near
a fire fight or in a fire fight, do not sprint, just move, aim and shoot.

VII) Putting it all together

"WIN the odds r AGAINST U...2 vs 4 or 5....3vs6 wat wood b the BEST way to WIN
the game....any board" - uDONTwantNUN
"Do work." - [RS]ForzattsMask

Being outnumbered is one of the best situations you can have. It means that
you have more opportunities to get kills available than normal because you are
not sharing your targets with as many other players. Your opponents are also
looking to get kills so they will be coming to you and since you are one of
the few players that they can target then that gives you an advantage because
you know what they are going to do. They are going to come to you. You have to
do less hunting and utilize more of a defensive approach. Your movements
should be in a way to cover all areas surrounding you. To do this check all
entrances/exits as you travel and stick to a small area that you travel
through in a circular pattern. You want to have the shortest straight line
path behind you as possible. By that I mean the path starts from when you last
changed position horizontally and/or vertically. You want to change your
direction and position often so anyone who might be aiming at you from afar
will have to adjust regularly. This makes it harder for them to shoot you and
gives you more time to get to cover and/or a better position. A great example
is on Ceremonial Plaza. Imagine what it would look like from the view of the
sniper looking through the scope at you. He is trying to aim at you and has
just put his aiming reticle on you and then you run up a small triangular
object so the sniper has to move the cursor up, but then you immediately fall
off the side of the object and the sniper has to aim back down. If you do this
often enough and move in a way that is not predictable, then your opponent
will not be able to hit you. If you can combine these haphazard movements with
the best/shortest path possible, then you will survive longer than most
players. These tactics will help you greatly, but they alone are not enough.
You should be getting those headshots and getting them quickly. Remember, the
first person to the headshot wins. If you enter an area with several
opponents, but none are facing you, then shoot the closest one to you in
first. All of them should have their backs to you and thus the closest one to
you should be behind his/her teammates. If he or she is behind the other
teammates, then they won't be seen when they die and this can aid you
immensely. One last thing, do not panic because you have the advantage. Stay
calm in knowing that as long you get two kills for one death you will be
winning the whole time. They can't beat you unless you get 1 kill and two
deaths so even if you get 1 kill and 1 death, then at best they can tie.

IX) Analysis of Top Level Players and Their Strategies

Note: This is a brief overview of each player, not a full proof analysis. This
is meant to provide examples of different playstyles, but not fully expose
their weaknesses and strengths. Special shout out to nsac for always being a
great host!

Name of Player: Sherman
Known for: Being a top knotch sniper
Favorite Weapon(s): AS-15
Clan Affiliation: N2FW
Playstyle: Defensive
Pros: He will catch you off guard, especially if you are out in the open. One
shot and you drop. At one point Sherman would be predictable with his sniping
locations. If you died and you knew where you were shot from, then you would
be able to find him in that location shortly there after and maybe several
more times throughout the match. This is not the case anymore. Now, Sherman
moves around a whole lot more and finding his sniping location is not
predictable. He will bring in the big scores and is fully capable of
disrupting the enemy team by himself. His markmanship rating is that of expert
and is considered to be one of the best sniper users in the game.
Cons: While sniping is his specialty, if you catch him running around with
other weapons you will have an easier (note: easier, not easy) time handling
his pressure. A flaw in all sniper users is their predictability. Even if the
player gets a kill and immediately moves to a new location on the map, they
are predictable in where they will move. This is because there is only so much
time between when a player dies and spawns again and how fast the sniper user
can move. If the sniper is moving to a new sniping position, then it will
likely be nearby to his or her original location and there are only so many
locations he or she can move to that are useful for sniping. Check the
location you were shot from and if the sniper is gone, check the two or three
nearest locations that a sniper might be. That is likely where the sniper will
have gone. Check the kill feed during this time to make sure the sniper wasn't
killed because if the sniper was killed, then the sniper will likely not be in
one of those locations.
Players with similar play styles: gerry241298

Name of Player: uDONTwantNUN
Known for: Trash Talking on Miiverse, usually after pwning players in Legends
Favorite Weapon(s): Sigmus 9 and STK-21 Commando
Clan Affiliation: Leader of N2FW
Playstyle: Offensive and Agressive
Pros: First things first, she's the realest. Drop this and let the whole world
feel it. She's still in the murda bizness. She could hold you down like she is
giving a lesson in physics. Offensive, aggressive and not afraid to trash
talk. She does well when her opponents become frustrated, which will often
happen from all that pressure.
Cons: A player that keeps his or her emotions in check will do well against
the barrage. A defensive playstyle combined with a tactical setup to catch her
off guard or trap her will do well to counter. She's is coming for you and you
know it. Get into a position where she will enter the room and her back will
be facing you. This is your best choice, unless you are using a sniper.
Players with similar play styles: Nucking_Fewbie

Name of Player: ForzattsMask
Known for: A tactical mind, using the Dynamiks and trick shots with the Gambit
Favorite Weapon(s): Dynamiks, PPK and Gambit
Clan Affiliation: RS, PHNX, ORB
Playstyle: Switches between offensive and defensive as needed
Pros: ForzattsMask utilizes tactics exceptionally well. He will sneak up
behind people and take them out. He is quick to get the headshot and this
helps him to stay ahead of the competition. Few players can use the Dynamiks
like he does. He often switches playstyles to keep up with the competition
making him a tough player to deal with. No one else can quite get the Gambit
kills like he does as he quick scopes, no scopes and trick shots well with it.
Cons: This playstyle is the hardest to counter, simply because it is not
constant and varies frequently. To effiently counter this playstyle you
yourself have to have a similar playstyle. Your playstyle needs to change to
the style that best counters his current playstyle. If he is playing
offensive, then you need to be defensive and if he is playing defensive, you
need to be offensive. If he is playing defensive it does not mean that you
need to charge blindly into his trap. Realize that he is planning a trap, try
to predict what the trap is and then develop a counter measure for it.
Players with similar playstyles: Catwoman45, Niny-Genius

Name of Player: ConorMck
Known for: Busting in the front door
Favorite Weapon(s): Stauger UA-1
Clan Affiliation: PHNX, ORB
Playstyle: Offensive
Pros: Conor is great at applying pressure and rushing people. His tactics may
be fairly straightforward, but he supplements them with the Stuager, which up
close is a strong force to reckon with. Conor is a great asset to a team that
has sniper support because he can apply constant pressure while the sniper
covers his back. Constant pressure is not something anyone wants to have to
deal with.
Cons: Snipers can shoot from afar and this can be a hinderance. Also, weapons
that are good at headshots from mid range may also potentially be a problem.
Players with similar play styles: DropDeadFred007

Name of Player: POOLGUY68
Known for: Leader of the doz clan
Favorite Weapon(s): STK-21 Commando
Clan Affiliation: doz
Playstyle: defensive
Pros: When it comes to teams Poolguy provides great support. He fires from a
distance so any player on his team can be sure to have covering fire as well
as the enemies behind them getting picked off from the STK or sniper. His STK
often has the thermal scope and when it does you can bet that he will be
putting out smoke grenades. The smoke grenades provide him with cover and his
thermal allows him to easily spot and take out other players. This works well
on players that do not know how to counter it. It will also get the better
players who are not used to the smoke. The smoke screen is quite effective
partly due to Poolguy being one of the few players that actually utilize it.
It is rare to see smoke mid game other than when Poolguy is playing. When
Poolguy is sniping he drops a proxy near the doorway leading to him from
behind. This serves to protect his backside and allow him to put up a longer
sniper fight.
Cons: Rushing Poolguy leads to his downfall. Rush in, aim well and move out.
It is best to rush from the side rather than from in front of him in a narrow
hallway. He is far away from you usually and if you are sprinting down a
narrow hallway with his sniper pointed at you, you will not make it out alive.
There is not enough time nor movement options for you in a hallway. When he is
sniping, you can come in from behind him. Be stealthy. If you spot him
sniping, don't shoot. Instead quitely walk around to a location near or behind
him, aim and then shoot. Also, be wary when he is sniping and you are about to
approach him from the rear. He puts down a proxy to guard his back and it will
get you if you are too hasty.
Players with similar play styles: He is one of a kind. ;)

Name of Player: Renfreak
Known for: Giving everyone a hard time
Favorite Weapon(s): Strata
Clan Affiliation: DS
Playstyle: Switches between offensive and defensive as needed
Pros: Renfreak is able to switch between the playstyles quickly and easily.
He often uses the Strata, which only makes his kills that much faster. He is
tactical minded and will flank players.
Cons: Renfreak tries to go for the best possible option and his reaction time
is good, but not perfect. If you use a gun that matches his i.e. Strata, are
able to predict his best option for the given situation and your reaction time
is slightly better than his, then you can keep up and give him a hard time by
mostly just rushing him. If you can keep your distance and use a sniper you
will find that you will die from him less often. This assumes that you
yourself are also moving from sniping positions frequently to prevent him
from becoming aware of your location.

X) Shadow Tactics

A warning before using these tactics on other players: these tactics may and
likely will make other players not like playing with or against you, not in a
way of just that you are better, but in a way of that they may think you play
unfairly, cheap or mean. Although, there is a certain stigma attached to these
tactics, they are good to know because knowing what they are and how to use
them also gives you the knowledge to know how to counter them.

Playing cheap:
Use the Militek, MJR and Moonraker Mk2 all game, every game. After just a few
days everyone in the community will know who you are and what weapons you like
using. These players will probably not have positive comments to say though.
These weapons are fun to use, but it is better to use these weapons when
everyone else also have these weapons available and/or in use. It is generally
thought to be okay to use these weapons against players using them too. Use
them here and there and it should be okay. Just remember that players don't
like feeling like someone needs to have an advantage to play. This can include
using weapons that are unlocked at a higher level, but you your opponents are
not currently at a high enough level to have them unlocked.

Getting in the other player's head:
There are two sides to this concept. One is good and the other is evil. Yes,
you want to get into the opponent's head as in you want to be able to predict
where and when they will be somewhere and what they will be doing. No, you
shouldn't get into the opponent's head as in by way of talking down to them,
taunting (unrelentlessly or abusively; friendly taunting is okay and helps
maintain a competitive atmosphere), or in a way that would make them feel as
though they can never improve. Everyone can improve, even the best of the best
are still discovering new techniques.

Making your opponent frustrated:
Players will get frustrated and this is okay, but if you a playing in a way to
purposely make your opponents frustrated, this is bad. Frustration can help
sway a match to victory. Frustrated opponents become more predictable and tend
to rush more, make more mistakes and ultimately die more often. This favors
the players that are not frustrated because they can just sit back and pick
opponents off for easy kills. Things to do: let frustration happen naturally
by performing better than your opponents. Don't cause frustration by standing
or moving into your teammates sniper scope view often. Once or twice is okay
because you likely did not do it on purpose. Don't cause frustration by using
cheap weapons when you know that your opponents do not like it. If you don't
know that it bothers them, then you are okay, but once they say to use the
cheap weapons less, it is generally a good idea to do as they request. Even
if you are not using cheap weapons and playing by the rules, but your goal is
to make your opponents frustrated, then this is bad because it is
manipulative. This might be more of a question of what kind of person that you
want to be.

Sacrificing teammates:
Sit back, let all your teammates run into the room and explode or get killed,
then take out all the enemies so you get all the kills. See the problem here?
Yes, you want to sit back and not rush a room. Let one teammate move in if
they got to the room first. It shouldn't be about you getting the kills so
they don't because your team score suffers when your teammates die. You want
to stay back to maintain proper spacing and help the team by not giving away a
free kill to the other team, but the intention is to help your team, not
yourself. The strongest teams work well together because they save and help
each other. They are coordinated and strong. If your teammates knew you were
sacrificing them so you could get the kills, what would they think and how
would they feel?
