-- introduction --

i. Welcome to my Batman Forever minifaq. I've always wanted to a FAQ on
this game, but haven't been able to get to it until now. If you don't
know Batman Forever the game is based on the (crappy) movie of the same
name.

"Forever" the game was released for the SNES, Genesis and PC. It
was part of a slew of games from Acclaim, king of the misused license
that made great use of the company's stunning graphic production but
didn't make for very good games. Still, "Forever" is worth a few
plays for action game fans. This minifaq focuses on the SNES version,
though you Genesis and PC players might get something out of out of
it. :)

-- emulation --

ii. Worth noting... some graphics effects (ie scene transition) don't
seem to be supported by ZSNES.

-- movelist --

Arkham
After you clear the first section and its two baddies, you get a riddle
from the Riddler in the next section. Defeat the enemy and go under the
hole in the ceiling. Press Up+Select and grapple up.

On the top level, beat the baddie from the door. Then break the locked box
to the left. You won't fight social security in it, but you will find a
bad guy. Beat him then exit to the right.

Beat the baddies in bridge and exit to the right.

In the next room, you get another riddle. Beat the bad guys and go on top
of the hole. Press R+Down to jump down. No beat the bad guys on this
level. After you do, bad guys will appear on the top level. Grapple up
like you did last time and beat those baddies. Now drop down to the
hole and go to the right to new exit that appears.

The rest of the level is pretty straightforward.

v. "Riddle me this, riddle me that." Being the nice guy he is, the Riddler
sometimes chimes in during the game to give you gameplay hints.

"Unlucky for some, you need to be roofless to achieve this baker's dozen."
During the Bank Level, blow the top off in the elevator to access the hidden
13th floor.

"Steel but no steel, rich but still poor, vault at great heights, but
I fall through the floor."
In Two Face's hideout, use your grappling hook to bring down the safe.

"A musical hit, that strikes the right chords, is a nice tune to play. It
will bring you rewards."
On Claw Island, knock an opponent into the electric wires to reveal a
hidden area.

"Looking for savings? Check all around, raise up your interest and tell what
you've found."
In the bank, fire your grappling hook up to go the next floor and rescue the
hostages.

"Credit is given where credit is due..."
In Arkham, after receiving this riddle, drop down the hole and throw a bomb to
the left of the hole. You will find a secret area. Kick the safes to get some
items.

vi. Of note: the PC version contains a boatload of extras not found in the Gen
or SNES versions. Included are CD redbook audio, some useless voices
(including speech from Batman, Robin, Two-Face and Riddler) and better
graphics. Also, the digitized sprites for Batman and Robin are different. Their
sprites have been re-shot so they wear their new battle armor. Robin doesn't
wear his circus costume like he does in the SNES game and doesn't seem to have
his staff.
