alt.games.worms FAQ

This FAQ is totally unofficial.
alt.games.worms is a newsgroup dedicated to the discussion of the
Team 17 game Worms. It is a platform independent newsgroup, and
posts of "my machine is better than your machine" are not appreciated.
Most of the questions in here are about PC Worms and Reinforcements
- this is only because I have a PC. If you have any extra
information for this FAQ about other machines, email me at

Answers:
1) How do I get molebombs in Worms: Reinforcements?
To do this you need to edit your worms.cfg file slightly. Go into
your Worms directory, and at the DOS prompt, type:
debug worms.cfg
At the prompt, type in e12c8 then hit return
You will see something like 00 on your screen. Type in 07 then
return. (Or however many you want - for unlimited type in FF FF FF
FF).
You should see some more 00s now. Type w then return.
At the next prompt type q.
Run Reinforcements, and you will have molebombs! To turn them off,
just follow the above instructions again, entering 00 instead of 07.
2) I'm in America and I want to get Reinforcements - how do I do this?
Either phone directly on 1-800-483-8632 or go to the MediaMart sales
page on http://www.mediamart.com/sales/
3) What cheats are available in Worms?
(General, I think)
Face right, select ninja rope, and aim down as far as possible. When
you fire the ninja rope, you can extend vertically upwards for the
full length of the rope.
(PC version)
In normal Worms, type baabaa at almost any time. This turns on the
cheat mode. Type aabaab to turn it off.
In Reinforcements, the procedure is the same, except with the word
bobjob.
If you have uzi/minigun selected, hitting F1 and space at the same
time apparently sprays bazookas, but I haven't seen this.
(Amiga version)
Type "TOTAL WORMAGE" for full weapon selection including sheep and
miniguns. (Worms original)
(Saturn)
Press C+Z 8-10 X and you'll get banana bombs, sheep, and minigun.
(Playstation)
Press fire and the set camera button for the same effect as above.
4) What web pages are available for Worms?
To save this FAQ from being huge and needing to be updated
constantly, I'll only plug two pages: Team 17's and my own.

Join the IRC channel #worms
6) Reinforcements won't install properly. What can I do?
In Team 17's web page, there is a fix for this. Go to the Patches
and Updates section.
7) What next?
For Amiga owners, Worms 1.5 is planned for this Christmas. It's for
AGA Amigas, and has a host of extra features including an exploding
herd of BSE-infected cows (allegedly :)
Worms 2 is planned for Christmas 97. No word on what it will be
like, other than it's more than just an upgrade for Worms.
