Star Wars - X-Wing (e)

Cover
X-Wing Pilot File Offsets or,
How To Create Your Own Wizzo Pilot Without Flying Any Missions.
(for those of you with access to a disk editor such as Norton et. al.)

Rank is at offset 03 hex 03.
Flight Cadet   = Hex 00
Flight Officer = 01
Lieutenant     = 02
Captain        = 03  Etc.

TOD Score is at offset 04 hex 04.
Your score is the reverse of the Hexidecimal number starting at this
offset.
Let's say your pilot score is 8,171. This translates to a Hex number of
1F EB.
However, in the pilot file, it's reversed. It shows up as EB 1F.
So, if you wanted your pilot to have a score of 500,000 Hex equivalent =
7A120, you'd have to reverse it in the pilot file and put in 20 A1 07.
It can get confusing.

Skill Level is at offset 08 hex 08.
(haven't quite got the hang of this one yet)
Near as I can figure,
Rookie       = 00 00 or D0 07
Officer      = 50 46
Top Ace      = FF FF

The Kalidor Crescent Award is at offset 17 hex 11.
Plain Old Crescent = 01
Bronze Cluster     = 02
Silver Talons      = 03  Etc.

X-Wing Maze Levels Completed is at offset 134 hex 86.
Y-Wing                                    135     87.
A-Wing                                    136     88.
1st level Complete = 01
2nd level Complete = 02
3rd level Complete = 03 Etc. (If you put in 08 you get the Patch)

Historical Mission Completes
(These are not the same as the scores. You must put 01 's in these offsets
to get the patches.)
X-Wing:
Mission 1  Offset 544  Hex 220
        2         545      221
        3         546      222
        4         547      223
        5         548      224
        6         549      225

Y-Wing:
Mission 1  Offset 560  Hex 230
        2         561      231
        3         562      232
        4         563      233
        5         564      234
        6         565      235

A-Wing
Mission 1  Offset 576  Hex 240
        2         577      241
        3         578      242
        4         579      243
        5         580      244
        6         581      245

This is far from complete, but it's a start for those of you who want to
create your own excellent wingmen who won't get blown away and who might
actually contribute to the mission.
