Everyone has their favorite combination of HERC's and weapons. I've
found the following set to work well in most situations. You may want
to make modifications to the weapons list depending on the particular
mission you're going on, such as loading up on precision weapons for
salvage runs, or snapping on a missile pack or three if you know you're
going to be up against flyers. 

     Maverick (25 tons)
     Weapon Slots: 4
     Speed: 90 KPH
     Tonnage required to build: 55 tons
     My preferred weapon configuration:

     Outlaw (27 tons)
     Weapon Slots: 3
     Speed: 100 KPH
     Tonnage required to build: 60 tons
     My preferred weapon configuration:
     (2) 50mm ATC
     (1) plasma cannon



     Raptor II (41 tons)
     Weapon Slots: 5
     Speed: 65 KPH
     Tonnage required to build: 90 tons
